On November 5, 2024, there will be a special election to fill the rest of the six-year term that Dianne Feinstein (D) was elected to in 2018. Primaries are scheduled for March 5, 2024. The filing deadline was December 8, 2024.[1]

The special election will fill the vacancy left by Dianne Feinstein (D), who died on September 29, 2023.
