Ten measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the state of Texas.

An estimated 175 constitutional amendments were proposed for the 2011 ballot in the state of Texas as of May 31, 2011. That number included 128 House Joint Resolutions (HJR) and 47 Senate Joint Resolutions (SJR).[1]

  • The 82nd session of the Texas State Legislature adjourned on May 30, 2011.
  • 10 of the 175 amendments proposed during the regular session were passed by both the House and Senate and will be on the November ballot.
  • Gov. Rick Perry called a special session of the Texas State Legislature that commenced May 31, 2011 and adjourned June 29, 2011. Eight amendments were proposed during the special session, but none passed.[2]
