Jim Wood (Democratic Party) is a member of the California State Assembly, representing District 2. He assumed office on December 1, 2014. His current term ends on December 2, 2024.

Wood (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the California State Assembly to represent District 2. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

On November 10, 2023, Wood announced that he would not seek re-election to the California State Assembly.[1]

Biography

Jim Woods is a former member of the Healdsburg City Council, where he also served as mayor for two terms. His other career experience includes owning a family dental practice in Cloverdale, California, and being a forensic dentistry expert consultant for five counties in California. Additionally, he started a mass disaster identification team, that has assisted in identification in disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and 9/11. Woods has been a resident of northern California since 1987, and he was first elected to represent District 2 of the California Assembly in 2014.[2]
