Josh Altic

Josh Altic is the director of research at Ballotpedia.

Before transitioning to the role of director of research, Josh Altic was the managing editor for the ballot measures project. Josh joined the staff in 2012 and covered local measures, statewide measures, and ballot measure-related laws and processes as a staff writer until 2016. In April 2016, Josh become the managing editor of the ballot measures project. In 2022, Josh transitioned to the role of director of research and was replaced as managing editor of the ballot measures project by Ryan Byrne.

Josh has appeared on national radio and tv programs, including NPR's Diane Rehm Show and Here and Now, PBS Newshour, C-SPAN, and Fox. He has also been featured in many publications and Associated Press articles. His op-ed on ballot measures was published in The New York Times.
