Evening news viewership of ABC News has, since 2008, remained relatively steady; as of 2015, viewership for the evening news was around 8 million viewers, compared to 6.8 million for CBS and 8.9 million for NBC.[1] Morning viewership of ABC's Good Morning America show surpassed NBC's Today Show in 2012 and, by 2015, ABC had almsot 5.5 million viewers compared to NBC's 4.9 million viewers; overall, ABC's Good Morning America saw a 23 percent growth since 2008.[1] ABC's Sunday program This Week, according to the Pew Research Center, is the second most watched Sunday news program, after CBS News's Meet the Press, which has 3.1 million viewers. ABC's 20/20 has over 5.9 million viewers, while NBC's Dateline Friday and CBS' 60 Minutes have about 6.4 million and 10.8 million viewers, respectively.[1] ABC News' advertising revenue in 2013 was $130 million and about $140 million in 2014, compared to $148 million and $117 million for NBC and CBS in 2014, respectively.[1]

Online traffic for ABC exceeds that of NBC and CBS; ABC's total digital population, according to Pew, was 65,300 unique visitors for January 2015, compared to 56,424 for NBC and 47,053 for CBS.[1]

In November 2015, ABC News announced that Martha Raddatz, ABC's chief global affairs correspondent, David Muir, host of World News Tonight with David Muir, and WMUR-TV (ABC) anchor Josh McElveen, would moderate the Democratic presidential debate in New Hampshire on December 19, 2015.[3] The debates were a partnership between ABC News, the New Hampshire Union Leader.[3]

ABC News hosted the eighth Republican primary debate in Manchester, N.H. on February 6, 2016. The debate was moderated by Martha Raddatz and David Muir. The debate was sponsored by the Independent Journal Review. The debate included Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Ben Carson and Chris Christie, however Carly Fiorina was excluded due to her failure to meet the debate qualification criteria.[4][5]
